Breaking Through Barriers of Stigma
In the past decades, society has given so much power to oppressive factors, such as sex. Before, we used to label sex as such a taboo source or a topic that is meant to be kept under wraps. In some way, it could be compared to the age of mysticism or even New Age Philosophy. The only difference is that these two variations have different progressions to which they lie within the currents of our dimensions and timelines. However, they tell us the same theme: It is taboo, so don't talk about it. Society already makes this conscious intention that these sources are taboo, so we should keep ourselves as conservatives in order to preserve the fundamental power structures that are withheld in each global environment. But, because we give so much prestige and power to these labels, especially the taboo one, it becomes an unintentional dismissal or a denial that these energies even exist or we are even present in the structures that have always been with us. Nowadays, we start to see more progression in sex education. We are finding ways to restore the normality of it because it ALWAYS was normal. It was never about sexual deviance or so forth, but then again, back then, the governments were playing with wildfire, figuring out a bunch of ways to accumulate their own political structures in efforts to move their territory forward. It really is Risk in the perceived reality of it all where social issues and even cultural revolutions are pushed back, but they are considered more empowering after the political spectrums have died down. There is no amplification, but the restoration of the humanistic applications that approach us in this millennium. So far, the government in the Philippines are similar to the government in China around the 1900s and so forth when sex or even the idea of sex education was seen as taboo. It is the same narration that is able to withstand the means to prevent the understanding of these energies. It is not only until now that it has gotten to a point where the oppression of these taboo subjects have reached a barrier of harsh and despairing limitations. It hasn't disappeared but emerged back from the surface because of how damaging the traditional perceptions are of such taboo subjects. These classifications preserve the societal regime we have over the years, but individually, we unite as a collective few to overtake the oppressive curriculum that has told us what is wrong and what is right. Now, we go beyond taboo. There really is no taboo...we have China making a bunch of effort to establish a healthy link between sex education and their citizens. We are establishing and creating curriculum in the states to help young children understand their own physiological processes. The majority of us can say there was never really a time where sex education was emphasized. In fact, it was always a grey area...grey scale in having to define ourselves as sexual beings. There is so much embarrassment and shame in being sexual, but it is so natural, yet even the most natural is tarnished by the means of any systematic power that deems it necessary to take us away from our own creative expressions. there are so many picture books and detailed stories about all the subjects that we once perceived as taboo.
The theme re-occurs all the time...when it is left unspoken or kept under wraps, there is a greater chance of it being taken advantage of or even exploited to the point where power is a representation of love which is never the case. There is so much evidence of that...but if we deny or even leave it aside, then what exactly are we protecting? What exactly are we doing?
There is always more work to do for humanity...the restoration of each systematic, naturalistic approach to whatever we deemed as horrifying or obstructing to our own core. Still, there are many underdeveloped and skewed generalizations of such taboo subjects. But, we don't have to worry. It gets a bit better if we can figure out the message that lies within each restriction in the cultural revolutions and empowering infrastructures we are surrounded by.
Then again, even so, it is a slippery slope, especially what the media portrays for us. The outside influences of moving electrons in the scope of a screen with so many associations and attributions of prestige have led us to believe so many perceptions in the projections of reality. At times, empowerment is seen as a capitalistic method to keep our economy moving, but it is restoration. We always have that power. Empowerment is restoration. The essence of being without the restrictions we have upheld for so long.
Being able to move away from the just-world hypothesis, the fact that the world is just and people deserve what they get is already revolutionary. Revolutionary in the sense of restoration, not a heroic triumph to be messed with.
