Classroom Staples

As I sit in my classroom reflecting and discussing the issues concerning women, Native Americans, and other past histories that drove us to our demise in the equal amount of resources and opportunity, I find that the majority of information given returns back to the context of our source. Indefinitely, the media and the government has implanted our minds with the generalizations, stigmatizations, and devaluations of those who are considered the minority, or those who are considered worthless. Based on the traditional, patriarchal norms and the heavily implanted distortions, it has gone to a point where we have to really question why we think this or why people do that, especially when it comes to Feminism. Again, there have been many differentiations regarding Feminism, but the one true source is that everyone is given the equal amount of resources and opportunities in the universe. The other types of Feminism are other individualistic associations and attachments of dominance or extremities that make efforts to gain the persistent, upper hand which then leads to the oppressive society of many. It is not only Feminism, but this topic is a great representation of where we are at for the time being. Our minds have been unintentionally controlled and corrupted by the masses who seek to justify and dismiss other's existences without remembering the fundamentals of what it is really like for the individuals involved. Dismissing our humanity has become a great concern, yet it should always be the concern we not only acknowledge, but understand without being judgmental about it. Even though we may judge, we should figure out a way to eradicate those judgments and reflect on where our thoughts, beliefs, or identifications came from. 

As the interpretations and classroom discussions placed the content into different contexts of which the narratives are told through, we can definitely see that the media and the government have resorted in their means for power in order to oppress those who should be deserving of a voice as we all should. Greatly, we are retrieving back these contexts to remember what the source is, which is unconditional positive regard for those who are constantly trying to gain their complete freedom in the societal regime. As history may tell us, the source is what will keep us free. 

Why is it that history repeats itself?

There is never a reduced effect on the stimuli of being here when I know the territorial grounds we walk through are never ours, to begin with. It has its own contexts confined in the grounds. Some may be oppressed and some may be right under our noses if we are aware of it.
